Viewing of Psycho (Thursday’s notes)

While you are viewing today be aware of Motifs (these are usually repeated symbols and in Hitchcock’s films may occur across a range of his work as well as throughout one film).
Foreshadowing – there are many examples of this throughout the film, be aware of picking up on these as you view.
Lighting – Because this film is in black and white, lighting is used very effectively to portray such aspects as good and evil.
Use your notes on the conventions of horror to identify other conventions that Hitchcock uses throughout the film Psycho.
